Fire Safety

Fire Services

Enoch City fire services are contracted through the Cedar City Fire Department. In an emergency, always call 911.

Open Burning

  • Free open burn permits are available through October 30 each year
  • Apply online at air.utah.gov or call 801-536-4000
  • No permit is needed for outdoor grills, recreational campfires, or indoor fireplaces
  • Always check air quality conditions before burning

Wildfire Preparedness

  • Create a defensible space of at least 30 feet around your home
  • Clear dry brush, leaves, and dead vegetation
  • Keep your roof and gutters clear of debris
  • Have an evacuation plan and know your routes
  • Pack a go-bag with essentials for 72 hours

Home Fire Safety

  • Test smoke detectors monthly and replace batteries twice a year
  • Keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen and garage
  • Practice a home fire escape plan with your family
  • Never leave cooking unattended
