Flooding in Enoch City
Enoch City has experienced significant flooding events, including the 2012 flood that damaged over 100 homes and the 2021 flood that dumped 120 million gallons over 1 square mile in just 45 minutes.
Before a Flood
- Know if your property is in a flood-prone area
- Consider flood insurance (Enoch City participates in the National Flood Insurance Program)
- Keep important documents in waterproof containers
- Have sandbags available during monsoon season
- Ensure your property drainage is clear and functioning
During a Flood
- Move to higher ground immediately if flooding begins
- Never drive through flooded roads — Turn Around, Don't Drown
- Stay away from storm drains and drainage channels
- Keep children and pets away from floodwater
After a Flood
- Document damage with photos for insurance
- Do not enter flood-damaged buildings until cleared

East Bench Watershed Project
The city is working with the NRCS on a $24-35 million East Bench Watershed Project to reduce future flood risk. Over $21.8 million in high-priority drainage projects are planned over the next 10 years.
